Courtney Riberio

Courtney Ribeiro (pronounced: rē-Bye-roo) is a dedicated mother, wife, yoga instructor, nurse, activist, and self-proclaimed adrenaline adventurer. Coming from a lineage of healers, including her mother and grandmother, Courtney was inspired to follow in their footsteps, leading her to a career in healthcare. She currently serves as a Critical Care Nurse and Rapid Response Nurse at the University of Kentucky, where her passion for helping others has thrived for 8 years. In addition to her professional commitments, Courtney generously volunteers as a Street Medic with the Louisville Street Medic Team, providing critical medical support during various community events and demonstrations focused on justice and women’s rights. Courtney’s journey with yoga began in her early 20s, when she first discovered the practice while living in California. However, it was a transformative experience at the Kentucky Yoga Festival that ignited her deep commitment to yoga. Since then, she has wholeheartedly embraced yoga as a way of life and pursued her passion by obtaining certification as a, trauma informed, Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Teacher. Eager to expand her expertise, Courtney is currently working towards additional certifications and her Master’s Degree, with the intent of sharing her knowledge, love for yoga, and adjacent practices with others. Beyond her professional and yoga pursuits, Courtney is an avid traveler who seeks challenges and new experiences across different landscapes and cultures. Whether she’s snowboarding, surfing, hiking, or climbing, Courtney’s adventurous spirit and love for exploration continuously fuel her quest for inspiration and knowledge. In addition to her roles as a yoga instructor and healthcare professional, Courtney is an accomplished photographer with over a decade of experience in the field. Her work has been featured in countless publications and magazines, showcasing her unique artistic perspective. In recent years, her photography focus has shifted and Courtney now celebrates capturing memories as a cherished artistic outlet, allowing her to intertwine her favorite passions and people while sharing her beautiful form of expression with the diverse and engaged community that surrounds her.
