Mick Jeffries aka “Mr. Toastey” has been playing ukulele for approximately 10- 30 years. (At first, he pretended it was a tiny guitar, thus the uncertainty.) By way of “the world’s happiest instrument,” Mick found an unexpected calling: teaching others, not just ukulele, but by extension, how to have “personal music”—the kind you make yourself—as a balm and whole life ally. Since then, he’s taught hundreds of people of all ages how to find their own song by way of the humble ukulele. Mick is the co-founder of KYuke, KYukefest, now in its 5th year. Mick also led the first known ukulele-themed trip to Cuba in 2016. He continues to teach all ages to strum their worries away in classrooms, groups, and private lessons.
