Gabriel

Gabriel Alexander Ford has been a dedicated movement and martial artist for the last 3 decades. He has been a professional performer for the last 12 years. His background consists primarily of martial arts and dancing but is best well known for being a long time nunchaku artist and instructor.

Gabriel has traveled the world teaching and performing along sides acts and Diplo, Skrillex, and Beats Antique. He has been an innovator in nunchaku styles and techniques for the last several years – noted as a founder in modern freestyle nunchaku. Gabriel is currently located in Houston, Texas where they continue to teach lessons and perform for various productions throughout the area.

Youth & Teen Nunchaku Tricks!
This is a basic skills class that is created for the young learners in mind. Students will learn a collection of basic techniques with a single pair of nunchaku. We will cover basic grips, passes, spins, handrolls, and combinations that is great for beginners and intermediate! Plenty of safety foam nunchaku will be available for all hand sizes and heights.
Beginner Poi Spinning: Fundamentals
This class is great if you have no experience with poi or are just starting off and would like some direction. In this class students will learn the basics of poi spinning taught by Gabriel Ford. Participants will learn the basics of timing, direction, stalls, weaves, and body positioning with turns. Additionally we will learn the importance of terminology and language often used for poi and other flow arts props.
Beginner Single Nunchaku
This class is for those who are complete beginners with nunchaku, have some experience, or those who would like to relearn the basics in a class setting. Students will learn a series of patterns, grips, passes, drills, stances, and combinations in which they will be able to utilize in their own practice and development.
Double Staff Twirling
This class will focus more on the twirling aspect of double staff more commonly found with baton. Students will learn combinations of spins that they can use within any of their patterns they know now. Good for beginner to intermediate level.
