Condor

After years of physical therapy to manage living with 47 degree scoliosis, by complete accident Condor found the Dragon staff and quickly became obsessed with replacing PT with flow. He invested three years and all his savings creating custom 3D printers while designing and redesigning dragons from the ground up, to be able to control all of the variables and geometry. He has since shifted his focus to creating classes, using his engineering background to explore how to best record, communicate, and teach all of the things learned along the way, otherwise what was the point?

Condor teaches a completely free all-welcome weekly dragon class and burn session in Nashville Tn where flow is “harder” to find due to politics and pyrotechnic laws. In regards to flow he enjoys exploring very techy Dragon Staff and rationalizing moves all down to basics in order to be able to expand on concepts in unique ways. Condor specializes in legwork, tosses, crossunders/overs and vertical static moves.

Think Like a Dragon (Tech Class)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SOKFI7d0bMIhnCY9Rk_AW0k6OzB5Gh34/view?usp=drive_linkThis Class is meant as a way to help form the performers brain to the concept of a dragon staff, rather than have them focus on learning every individual move that could ever exist. By knowing how a dragon moves and being able to label those motions is the start. Being able to exercise the base level motions with the knowledge of how they could possibly interact, one can not only train with much higher efficiency, they can think much faster on the spot. This is due to better mind map organization, lending to increased improv abilities.
Dragons Are Meant to Fly! (Dragon staff)
This Class is all about tosses, throws, and ways to launch the dragon off your body. This subsequently means catching and saves are involved as well. I recommend a yoga mat grip tape for practice as it hurts much less and an actual yoga mat to protect your dragon in falls is great for practice! The lighter the dragon, the easier it will be to practice without getting tired/hurt, but also harder to dial in the force for the tosses.
Learn to Leg Go (Dragon Staff)
This Class is meant for standing, balance, and little to no hands used. There is no groundwork in this class, all moves are performed while standing. Most people are aware of some knee moves, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg for leg work. Technically, the shorter the dragon (with equal weighting/inertia) the easier it will be to do these moves without the dragon hitting the ground. One legged balance practice and leg/hip stretching highly recommended before training, it makes a world of difference
Levi-Wand with a Dragon Staff??
This Class goes over performing Vertical Static moves and how to use their unique floating aesthetic to embody the spirit of Levi-wand. Vertical Static is whenever the staff is staying up and down with no spinning end to end, but is still rolling. T-Rolls are the most common move that falls into this category for reference. The main concept is that the performer will always have at least one hand at/near the midpoint, making their arm the “leash” for the “Levi Dragon staff”. Most basic Levi-wand moves can be imitated this way with varying difficulty. These moves take a little bit of Levi-Wand mindset to create illusions to the highest potential, however techy boxs, drawing shapes, as well as super cool tosses are available
