Ben Short

Ben Short is a 200hr CYT who has been teaching yoga full time since 2015, with well over 2500 hours of teaching experience! Ben is a versatile teacher, enjoying sharing Vinyasa or Hatha, Restorative or Yin, even Hot Yoga. He’s noted for his warm positivity, detailed instruction particularly excellent for beginners, and compassionate delivery empowering all to feel comfortable and focused. Clients have even described Ben’s instruction as hypnotic!
Ben is also an accomplished musician and composer. Bringing those two worlds together, Ben offers live musical accompaniment for yoga classes that is truly special, uniquely able to flow the music with the practice, often described as downright magical!
And come festival time, Ben loves to share his passion for astronomy and stargazing, offering fun and interactive nighttime workshops teaching and identifying the night sky!

Yang/Balance/Yin Yoga Flow
In this yoga class, you will be guided through a balanced practice that emphasizes breath, fundamentals, and daily body maintenance considerations. A great practice for all levels, this class will get you moving with a powerful “Yang” flow, incorporate a mini Balancing workshop, and finally offer to be restful and effortless in restorative “Yin” poses. Feel great! And enjoy the nice touch of dreamy live music during Savasana.
Late night, gather to be expertly guided through observing the night sky. In this casual class, you’ll be invited to lay down, and look up! Instructed with an industrial laser pointer making it easy for all around to see, you’ll learn where and how to begin identifying significant stars/planets/constellations. Learn how to find the North Star and everything around it, find the Zodiac constellations. And also be treated to a fascinating discussion on The Big Bang, and the mindblowing scale and science of what exactly we’re actually looking at out there!
Arm Balance & Inversion Workshop
Opportunity to learn and practice several different arm balances and inversions. You will be instructed patiently through a progression of arm balances: how to get started, fundamentals, how to explore more challenge, and how to get upside down! Zero pressure class, beginners feel welcome to try it out!
